Fantasia Announces January to November:Cumulative Contract Sales of RMB6.49 billion;achieving 108% of the full year sales target
5 December 2011, Hong Kong - Fantasia Holdings Group Co., Limited (“Fantasia” or “the Company”, HKSE stock code 1777) today announced its sales performance for November 2011. Fantasia recorded contract sales of approximately RMB461 million and gross floor area (“GFA”) sold of 49,394 square meters in total, posting a year-on-year growth of approximately 13% and 2% respectively. As of 30 November 2011, the Company recorded cumulative contract sales for the year of approximately RMB6.49 billion and GFA sold of 686,267 square meters, representing a year-on-year increase of 109% and 128%, respectively. The cumulative contract sales equate to 108% of the full year sales target of RMB6 billion.
There has been no sign of a relaxation in the government’s austerity measures on the Chinese domestic property market, which has put sales for property developers under increasing pressure in cities across China. Moreover, there has been a significant overall decline in property prices in some cities. Fantasia, however, has maintained steady growth in the low season of November by actively responding to market changes, leveraging its diversified product line, customers’ word of mouth and high quality sales strategy.
Shenzhen Meinian Plaza, one of Fantasia’s urban complexes, continued to enjoy a good sales performance in November in spite of negative market sentiment. This project’s cumulative sales since its launch in April this year amounted to over RMB 1 billion. The Company expects that the Shenzhen Meinian Plaza will record 100% sales by December. Guilin Fantasia Town also added additional retail units that, because of its premium location and future development planning in the area, were highly sought after. One of the retail units it sold generated a strong competition among a number of large scale financial institutions. Dongguan Wonderland also launched additional retail units for sale and achieved over 60% of sales.
Huizhou Fantasia Special Town launched extra residential units and attracted more than 2,000 customer visits. The project also saw a good performance by selling nearly 300 units.
In December, Fantasia will launch additional units of three existing projects, including a block of residential units of Huizhou Fantasia Special Town, the new Mini Villa at Suzhou Lago Paradise and the senior housing units at Chengdu Mont Conquerant.
In November, Fantasia was recognised with the award of “China’s blue chip property developer” at the “China blue chip property developer awards”, organised by “Economic Observer News”, a leading financial news media in Mainland China.
