6 February 2012, Hong Kong - Fantasia Holdings Group Co., Limited (“Fantasia” or “the Company”, Stock Code: 1777) today announced its sales results for January 2012. Fantasia recorded contract sales of approximately RMB88.9 million and gross floor area (“GFA”) sold of 10,398 square meters.
Since the beginning of the year, the Chinese Central Government has reiterated to consolidate the control results over the property market, pushing prices back to a reasonable level. In addition with the traditional long holiday of Lunar New Year, the actual sales period for January was merely fortnight. The sales results across the country were gloomy. For example, new house trading volume in Nanjing decreased by 70% year-on-year, while new house trading volume in Beijing recorded the lowest level in 47 months.
Facing the stiff market condition, Fantasia actively responded by capturing the opportunity of people travelling back to their hometowns during Chinese New Year. By active sales and marketing towards this special group of potential customers, the Company achieved better sales results in Guilin Fantasia Town, residential and commercial units at Suzhou Lago Paradise, Office Tower at Chengdu Meinian International Plaza in January. By virtue of completed and occupied properties, Tianjin Hailrun Plaza maintained its sales popularity, and has been basically sold out.
In January, the contract sales of urban complexes and boutique upscale residences projects accounted for 38% and 44% of the total contract sales respectively, indicating the great advantage of the Company’s product line diversification. Meanwhile, the contract sales of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone, the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and the Beijing-Tianjin metropolitan area contributed 25%, 32%, 34% and 9% respectively to the total contacted sales, making the contract sales network more evenly distributed.
In February, the Company is selling 18 urban complexes and boutique upscale residences projects among 10 cities throughout the country. With the restriction on the purchase of residential property, the Company will continue to implement the strategy of inventory digestion, with the advantage of products proportion that non-residential products account for 51%.
Soon after the introduction of Four Points Sheraton Hotel to the Guilin Fantasia Town project in December 2011, the Company signed a cooperation agreement with Starwood Group again in January 2012 for the introduction of Four Points Sheraton Hotel to the Chengdu Meinian International Plaza.
